Recognizing the Truth

Do you believe “Truth” is subjective or objective? Meaning, do you think truth is a movable principle, one which can be bent or twisted into whatever a person’s belief system or worldview may be? Or is truth a quantifiable, tangible, and concrete standard; one that cannot be bent, twisted, or suit to fit a particular circumstance?

If you heard the truth, would you know it? Jesus himself said, “I am the way, the truth and the life.”

If the truth was in your midst, would you rush to see? To the tax collector Jesus said, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.”

Can you recognize the “Truth” yet?

If the truth was a gift, would you receive it? To the Samaritan Woman Jesus said, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

To the Pharisee Jesus said, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”

To His disciples Jesus said, ““Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”

Now are you able to recognize the “Truth”?

To us, believers, the “TRUTH” said, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you –shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

So, what is “Truth” or should I say, “Who is “Truth?”

“The purest truth to hear, if heard, is the greatest gift received.” (JS)
